*dusts off account*

Well, a lot's happened in the past year. To make a long story short, I am now going to university in New York, and life is good. I might even start arting again. Might. We'll see how things go.

So no, I'm not dead.

I'm finally moved into my apartment and unpacked--well, mostly. I still have a few boxes laying around that I haven't fully unpacked yet. But anyway. Got my own place at last. It's a nice sort of feeling. It would be nicer, though, if I had furniture beyond my bed and two computer chairs. You see, my roommate is the one with all the furniture. But, unfortunately, she hasn't moved it in yet, and won't be able to until the carpet's replaced. Which should, hopefully, happen next week. Hopefully. Crossing my fingers. Because it would be reaaally nice if she could just get moved in already. Not only for the furniture aspect, but also for the company. It gets lonely sitting around an apartment by yourself for days on end. I guess I'll just have to wait, though. It'll happen when it happens.

To fill you in on the last month or so, I lived with friends (~ShortyDestroyer and ~kabocky) and my sister. I went to Ai-kon, met up with *Plish and ~dragon-queen12, and just generally had a blast. UKULELE NO GOOOOOD. Uberglomp guy, if you're reading this, you are awesome. <3 Spent way too much money, but I think it was worth it. Now I just have to live off of macaroni for the next six months. XD

School starts on the 27th. Jeez, it's only a week and a day away. I'm kinda nervous. What're college classes gonna be like, what kind of people are going to be there, how much homework am I gonna have? These questions and more keep running through my mind. Really, though, all I can do is wait and see. I'm gonna take a trip up to the campus on monday to get my student card and books. At least I'll have a rudimentary idea of what the place looks like.

I hates filling out applications. I hates it good.

Sake tastes -so- much better than white and red wine.

I kinda feel like baking cookies, but there's nobody around to eat them but me.

it's july of 2007, and it's been a long time since I've posted here. a lot of things have happened over the past few months. let's review. in chronological order:

- got myself out of a nasty relationship, but not before it messed me up bad. note to self: don't date the selfish, or the insane.
- aced my midterm exams. except for english. D: stupid 84% threw off my average.
- got sick of the internet in general and largely avoided it.
- missed the internet and went back on it.
- fell in love with ~Mats and met him in person, in that order.
- was visited by ~kabocky for a month and a half.
- went to a three days grace concert with Mats and Kabocky. it was cold. Mats was my heater. Kabocky ended up taking my sweater, and was still cold. we went to boston pizza after. I composed a haiku for the rolo ice cream cake we ate. it was awesome. X3
- went to Cedar Point with Kabocky. rollercoasters are pure sweetness. I composed another haiku for the parking lot at night.
- was visited once again by Mats. <3
- graduated from high school. it was long and boring. I did get $200 for some reason, though, which I'm not going to complain about. free money is always nice.
- watched the windsor-detroit fireworks with Mats and Kabocky. they really were very impressive. the sky lit up~
- said goodbye to Kabocky. D:
- spent 7 awesome days with Mats before saying goodbye to him, too.
- got my butt into gear and started packing for my imminent move.
- went camping, burned all manner of things, and got more than slightly tipsy.
- had tingly hands for half the day after.

Which brings us to now. With the past talked about, I suppose I should talk about what's gonna happen in the near future.

- get on a plane tomorrow and fly to winnipeg.
- be homeless til august.
- move into an apartment.
- find a job.
- work my way through college. (electronic engineering technologist, for those curious.)
- ????
- profit!

Minus the last two, I suppose.

So anyway, that's pretty much my life as it stands. Right now, frankly, I'm freaking out. I don't like change, and this is a biiiiig change. A big and scary change.

So... yeah. Cross your collective fingers and wish me luck, people.

and by the way, will be on the internet sporadically if at all until whenever I get the internet back, so probably august. talk to you then or so.

Well, it was my birthday yesterday, and I turned 18. It was a bit anticlimactic, to tell the truth. I'm considered mature enough to vote, but not mature enough to drink, gamble, or buy a lighter? That's just silly. Ontario sucks. D:

Christmas was okay... not great, but okay. It was nice to be able to spend time with my dad. Generally speaking, he's either working or sleeping, so I don't get to talk with him often. So that was nice. :3

Got a new MP3 player, a Creative Zen V Plus 2GB, which is a bit of a mouthful. It's sooooo nice to have more space; my old one had 128 MB. It also does video, which is pretty cool. Also got pyjamas, Eldest, Okami, FFXII, and an IOU for a Wii... which I still haven't been able to get my hands on. They're really scarce around here. Nobody is able to tell you when the new shipment is getting in, so I can't even go on a stakeout outside of Best Buy or wherever. >>; It's aggravating.

In other news, I still haven't decided what I want to do after school's over, and as such haven't applied anywhere. Which is probably a bad thing, considering the deadline for Ontario universities is supposedly Jan. 10. But really, I guess that's okay... I wasn't planning on attending university in Ontario anyway. Also, 100$ to apply to three universities, WTF? =/ This province makes no sense.

I've been suffering from headaches a lot lately. I get them at least 3 or 4 times a week. I usually ignore them, because they aren't anything more than mildly annoying, but I'm just getting sick of it. Time to see the doctor, I guess...

Anyway, my head hurts. I think I'ma go play some more FFXII or somethin'. Ciao.
